Brother/Big Sister Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with CMRK, Inc. of Northborough, Massachusetts to provide curbside pickup services. CMRK, founded in 1997, provides a wide range of services to charities related to the collection and recycling of used clothing and certain household items. Under the agreement with the Foundation, CMRK has taken over picking up donations.

In the past, the Foundation has done this work itself. We are excited about this new agreement with a well-known local company and fully expect that service levels will ultimately exceed those which the Foundation achieved when it was doing the pickups. CMRK has recruited the Foundation’s former director and a number of our former drivers to help provide pickup service.

As is the case with any new arrangement, however, the transition to CMRK may have some operational issues in its early months. We also believe that the continued challenges of providing in-person services during the pandemic will make operations difficult. During this transitional period in the COVID era, we ask for your patience. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at bbbsinfo@cmrkofboston.com.

Due  to the unprecedented volume of pickup requests,  we’ve had to reschedule pickups in Watertown from Monday to this Thursday April 15th.  Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

Thank you!

Big Brother Big Sister Foundation turns gently used goods into treasure. And what greater treasure exists than the future of a child? BBBSF collects used clothing, converts it into cash and distributes the proceeds to mentoring programs supporting more than 30,000 “Littles” & “Bigs” across Massachusetts.  Our administration costs are only 12.6% of total revenue.  For every $1 we spend, we return $1.37 to the community.

If you want your donations to benefit BBBSF & the thousands of at-risk children our mentoring agencies support, please donate directly.  We’re in your town every four weeks, so it doesn’t get easier than our truck coming right to your door. But if you prefer to drop-off, for a list of the only authorized sites click here. Thanks!
